Hibok Venture is a design approach for a living turn into a new journey of a young managing director of a digital creative agency from Spain to The Philippines
Camiguin, The Philippines 2013.
The project seeks to the design approach to a living environment in Camiguin, which is an island of volcanoes where a main houses and temporary accommodation units are designed in one-hectare piece of land on one of the slopes of the main active volcano called Hibok Hibok.
The project was built and risen from there, where the new settlement is conceived to accommodate anyone who wants to share his experience.
Covered by a large coconut and palm leaf roof plane all the amenities are set in a continuous connection to the exterior. Perfectly transparent from the inside out, a large viewpoint is created towards the sea, however, conversely, it argues a reflective effect given by the connection with the surrounding nature and inner courtyards, creating mirages of ingenuity and fantasy.
The materials used with a local language seek to an environmentally and friendly construction transgressing the apparent limits, in search of new fields of action, form partitions of regularisation and hierarchy of space in a versatile, light and solid staging of the living spaces.
