Transmol headquarters is the proposal to develop the logistic centre for a gas and oil transport company.
Madrid, Spain 2011.
The tertiary sector and services must learn to live with people. It is not so much a question of ethics as survival. While the industrial activities are located near the urban centres, we will enjoy this coexistence as productive.
People need a place to work, factories need operators, and access, and services.
Fortunately more and more industrial production controls its effluent, the contamination is reduced and the employers are aware of their social role and encourage the integration of their huge facilities in the environment inhabited…beyond the big cities, set between the horizon and small urban centres, where they live, always to the step of the car, scenes of factories mixed with the field as a background of a first line conquered by the factory, the workshop, the trucks, work…anything that they do not see consents in the cities or towns. The territory industrial is configured in its majority by the dictatorship of the neglect and abandonment.
In today’s society, where the city spills in continuity throughout the territory, where the landscape belongs to the time of continuous movement, displacement, and where the car puts in connection in so little time, the centre with the field, it is important that this area of the industrial landscape ceases to be in chaos and between in the framing of the architecture.
The new facilities should belong to that species generated by that consciousness, that is integrated into the landscape of a contemporary form and positive transmitting through architectural mechanisms, a message of coexistence.
